Jeff's list of books/articles I recommend that everyone read

  • Holy Bible  This should be read frequently and by all ages.
There are lots of ways to read through it, especially plans where you read it through in 1 year.
If you have never read the whole Bible I would suggest that you read the entire book of John or the entire book of Luke first.
Then start on a plan that gets you through it all in a year, or focuses on Jesus life.  If you’re a reading monster, go for a Bible in 90 days plan!

  • How to Ruin Your Life by Forty [Steve Farrar]
This is a good read even if you’re over 40.

  • Systematic Theology [Wayne Grudem]
I’d put this as a must read after you’ve read through the Bible at least once.

  • Knowing Scripture [ R.C. Sproul]
This is great for all Christians at all maturity levels.   Personally I had a little bit of trouble
keeping focus in this book but I think it was due to Sproul’s writing style.

These I recommend specifically to Men/Fathers
  • When good men are tempted [Bill Perkins]
  • Shepherding a child’s heart [Tedd Tripp]
  • What he must be …if he wants to marry my daughter [Voddie Baucham Jr.]
